Each year theÌýCampus Activities & Advocacy Board dedicates thousands of dollars to student clubs and organizations in order to fund events and activities. If you have an idea for a new club, review these steps or contact ÌýStudentÌýLife at involvement@cptc.edu
Start a Club at º£½ÇAV
We make starting a Club at º£½ÇAV easy with these six steps!
Level 1 Clubs are required to have a minimum of 3 members.
Level 2 Clubs are required to have a minimum of 5 members.
Clubs advisors are not required for Level 1 Clubs
All Level 2 Clubs must have a club advisor (a current º£½ÇAV faculty or staff member). Student Life can help you identify an advisor if you don’t know where to start!
All new clubs are required to complete an online
- All Level 2 Clubs need to create By-laws and have them approved by the Campus Activities & Advocacy Board. We have a template to help you get started!
- While all clubs need to adhere to the Clubs & Organizations Handbook, club By-laws are the governing document specific to your organization.
- Bylaws are not required for Level 1 Clubs
All club officers will need to attend a New Officer Orientation.Ìý
At least one representative from your club will need to attend a CAAB Business Meeting to complete the sanctioning process. A CAAB representative will reach out to confirm meeting information.

Starting a Community at º£½ÇAV is as easy as 1-2-3!
- Identify an interest area or objective
- Complete a Community Registration Form
- Attend a Community OrientationÌý
Student Life staff will work with you to create the physical space and identify an outreach plan to connect with and engage students who have similar interests.
