All Hazard Committee

Occupational health and safety at º£½ÇAV include those programs that provide for the general safety of students, staff, and visitors. ÌýFollowing the safety and health standards set forth in Section 18 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 governed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and administered by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, the Office of Compliance oversees the college’s safety plans, policies, and committees.

All Hazard CommitteeÌý

The All Hazard Committee is º£½ÇAV’s version of a safety committee which is a requirement of law. The group meets to communicate and evaluate college safety and health issues.

Accident/Incident reports are reviewed and the group is polled for current safety concerns.

The group is comprised of faculty, staff, and a student representative. ÌýThe composition of the group, whether management appointed or employee elected, is also mandated by law.

Building captains and co-captains are also included to better communicate safety issues and broaden campus involvement.

The All Hazard Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.Ìý
